Problem Note 39202: Problems occur when you use the Update Host Name References tool if the report repository's content-mapping user ID is not the SAS Trusted User
Problems occur after you use the Update Host Name References tool if the report repository's content-mapping user ID in SAS® Management Console is changed from the SAS Trusted User ID to a different user ID.
Note: SAS Technical Support recommends that you only use the SAS Trusted User ID.
If the report repository's content-mapping user ID is something other than the user ID and the password for the SAS Trusted User account, the ID will be reset to the SAS Trusted User ID, but with the existing password, when you run the Update Host Name References tool. As a result, the user ID is likely to be incorrect.
If this issue occurs, report-repository clients (for example, SAS® Web Report Studio) cannot start and find reports after you execute the Update Host Name References tool.
To correct the problem, change the report repository's content-mapping user ID in
SAS® Management Console to the correct user ID, as follows:
To change the user ID:
- Log onto SAS Management Console as the unrestricted user.
- Click the Folders tab. Then right-click SAS Folders and select Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, click Content Mapping tab and add the correct user ID and password.
- Click OK to complete the change.
